Get ready for Celiac Awareness Month!
Celiac Awareness month is celebrated worldwide during the month of May. For the next month I am volunteering with the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America’s Chef to Plate International Awareness Campaign. The goal of this campaign is get restaurants across America to spread awareness and support those living with celiac disease and gluten intolerance. In the next few weeks it is my goal to get restaurants who currently provide gluten free offerings in NH to participate in this national campaign. In May participating restaurants will be given informational posters and table tents to place in their menus to inform customers about gluten sensitive diseases.
I will be visiting restaurants in the Manchester, NH area. If you would like to suggest places that offer a gluten free menu in my area I would love to hear from you! If you are out of my area or are looking for more information to get involved with this campaign visit http://www.gluten.net/.
Restaurants I plan on visiting next week:
– Porland Pie Co.
– XO on Elm
– Puritan Back Room
– 900 Degrees (they just added gluten free pizza to their menu and I was the first person to ever try!)
– Pochito’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina
– 99 Restaurants
Let me know if you have any other suggestions and I will do my best to give them a visit! 🙂
